Algerian diplomacy in 2024: deployment and role strengthened at regional and international levels

ALGIERS - The Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, affirmed, Monday in Algiers, that 2024 was the year of strengthening the deployment of Algerian diplomacy and consolidating its place and role at the regional and international levels.

In an introductory statement at the start of a press conference on the assessment of Algerian diplomatic activities in 2024, Mr. Attaf indicated that this year, which is coming to an end, was mainly marked by "the resurgence and exacerbation of conflicts and wars in a tense context, unparalleled since the Cold War."

"We were required to adapt to the changes that have occurred at the regional and international levels," added the Minister of State during the conference, which "intervenes on the instructions of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune during his speech to the nation delivered before the two chambers of Parliament," affirming the continuation of efforts "to preserve the interests of our country and strengthen its role at the Arab and African levels, in the Muslim world as well as in the Mediterranean and outside these affiliations."
