President of the Republic presents his condolences to his Azerbaijani counterpart following the plane crash

ALGIERS - The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, sent a message of condolences to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, following the crash of an Azerbaijan Airlines plane near the city of Aktau, Kazakhstan, causing several victims and injuries.

"Dear Mr. Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, I learned with great sadness and deep sorrow about the crash of an Azerbaijan Airlines plane near the city of Aktau, Kazakhstan, causing several casualties and injuries," the condolence message read.  

"Following this tragedy which struck the friendly Azerbaijani people, I would like to present to Your Excellency and to the families of the victims, on behalf of the Algerian people and Government and in my own name, my sincere condolences, assuring you of my deep compassion and wishing a speedy recovery to the injured," added the President of the Republic.

Assuring the Azerbaijani President of "Algeria's solidarity with his country in this painful circumstance", the President of the Republic said he was "convinced that the Azerbaijani people will be able to overcome this painful ordeal".

"While reiterating my sincere condolences, please accept, Mr. President, the expression of my most respectful feelings," concluded the President of the Republic in his message of condolences.
