Mr. Attaf receved his Polish counterpart

Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, on Wednesday received Polish Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Radoslaw Sikorski, who is on an official visit to Algeria .

The two Ministers held one-on-one talks, at the Ministry’s headquarters, followed by an expanded working session with the participation of members of both countries’ delegations.

The meeting provided an opportunity for  an in-depth review of the state of bilateral relations in light of progress made in implementing the cooperation activities agreed upon during the official visit paid by Minister Ahmed Attaf to the Republic of Poland in June 2024.

Both sides reaffirmed "the need to strengthen the bilateral partnership and elevate it to the highest possible level, particularly by accelerating the activation of the Joint Governmental Commission tasked with deepening cooperation across a range of sectors including hydrocarbons, mining, renewable energy, agriculture, tourism, and digitization, as well as identifying further opportunities arising from the considerable assets both countries have to offer.  The two Ministers also  exchanged views and assessments on the current international and regional issues, including the situation in the Middle East, the war in Ukraine, and the evolving developments in the Sahel-Saharan region.

The talks concluded with the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Algerian Institute of Diplomacy and International Relations and the Polish Diplomatic Academy
